The Winter exhibition of the MA Artistic Research

Students of the MA Artistic Research at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) will exhibit their research practices at Quartair as the culmination of a week of curatorial experiments with Stockholm based curator Jonatan Habib Engqvist.

Mel Chan, Arthur Cordier, Lucy Engelman, Daisy Madden Wells, Katrina Niebergal, Ángel Orellana, Matthew Lanning, Helena Sanders, Paulien Bekker, Greta Facchinato, Xaviera Hardjopawiro, Loretta Moore, Hsu Wai Lun, Minsook Kang, Valentino Russo, Raquel Sanchez, Cristiana Vignatelli.
The evening will begin with a public discussion between Engqvist and curator/educator Clare Butcher on the roles of curators and artists, on exhibiting artistic research, and on the place of exhibitions within the art school context.
The exhibition follows on from an earlier event held at STROOM, Den Haag on February 9 with artist Marysia Lewandowska. Both events focus, in different ways, on issues related to the modes and contexts of artistic distribution.
The exhibition will also be open on Saturday, February 17, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
