Quartair initiates and supports exhibitions, cultural projects and exchanges with artists and artist-run-spaces at home or abroad. We pursue empathic cooperation with other organizations, collectives, guest-curators and non profit initiatives seeking to realize specific cultural events. Quartair also functions as a platform for artists in The Hague to operate in an international network and for foreign groups to exhibit in the Netherlands.
As an artist-run space, we do not work within a structural program or curatorial framework. We keep our space flexible, anticipating or responding to current events and staying receptive to the wide community and artistic climate.

If you are looking for a space in The Hague for presenting or developing a project that tackles artistic, sociopolitical, technological or environmental questions with a contemporary approach (whether an exhibition, lecture, workshop, film screening or other cultural program) contact us via email: info [ at ] quartair [ dot ] nl
Our 198 m2 space is lit by bright daylight and can be darkened according to the necessities of the event. There’s a small kitchen and a bar, two toilets and a limited amount of chairs available for a seated audience setup.
Please describe your project briefly, including concept, program overview, desired dates and length of the event (including build-up/build down time), artists/participants (website/photos/portfolio/CV). We will reply to your email within 3 weeks.
Please be aware that we do not accept proposals for solo shows.
If you are looking for paid internship we regret to inform you that we have no means of payment. However you are welcome to approach us and come for a talk to discuss possibilities.
