19 visions from the north and south of our blue planet, curated by Sonja van Kerkhoff.
Artists from the South seas (Aotearoa New Zealand) and artists from the North sea on what’s elemental – our climate, our world and ways art creates pathways. Participating artists: A.A.M. Bos Aotearoa, Anna Borrie Madrid, Cle Tukuitonga, Denise Batchelor Hokianga, Dr P Aotearoa, George Nuku Rouen, Phil Dadson, Sen McGlinn (New Zealand); Anna J. van Stuijvenberg, Astrid Nobel, Jessy Rahman, Jesus Canuto Iglesias, Ludmila Rodrigues, Pietertje van Splunter, Yair Callender, Zeger Reyers (The Hague) and Sonja van Kerhoff.
Progamme:
Opening Friday, 28 Aug at 19.00 pōwhiri – Māori welcome will start a 7pm. Gather beside the entrance from the street.
20:00 – 21:30: The Elemental performances. Details to be announced on 20 August.
Saturday, 29 Aug, 12:00-13:00: Draw a kiwi: Live drawing session with a New Zealander model. Bring your own drawing materials.
Cost €5. Maximum 20 participants. Booking required via email: sonjavank2@gmail.com before 20 August. Refreshments supplied.
Saturday, 29 Aug, 16:00-17:30: Ask a kiwi: Ask anything of our New Zealand artists who will talk about their practice. Refreshments supplied.
Saturday, 5 Sep, 12:00-13:30: Tāonga pūoro: the curator will give a run down on the revival of Maori traditional musical instruments, demonstrate a few and you can make your own putangitangi to take home. Maximum 20 participants.

Saturday, 5 Sep, 16:00-17:30: the 4th One Hour International film festival
Programme will be announced by 1 Sept. The event might be live streamed.
Sunday, 13 Sept, 16.30-18.00: The Monument(al): the curator will give a talk about the history of this old bakery and its function over the past decades as a contemporary art space, finishing with a brief outline of New Zealand Maori buildings and uses as these relate to the current exhibition (English).
